Hi Lexhag many moons ago when I used to slobber over anything American I went to visit a garage in Southport on merseyside with the intention of buying a Plymouth Fury but my eyes were quickly averted to this other vehicle accross the floor.Yes it was the AMC Pacer in blue with the 4.2ltr lump. The best bit though was it had "wigwam"upholstery! Did yours have this?
My Pacer was fairly standard. The upholstery was a cream plastic with very dodgy wood effect dash. I will dig out some pic's of the inside - it is very 70's. It came complete with a Shakin Steven's and Dolly Parton cassette's
Wasn't sure if I should have posted this under the ‘driving in the snow’ thread, but although this certainly wouldn’t win ‘best Avantime pic’, I couldn’t resist.
Eden, no offence but that is tacky, illegal limo tints and chrome alloys belong on novas and other boy racer-mobiles. Can't understand rear lights either, added inner section and also illegal as no red reflectors. How to ruin an Avantime IMO but each to their own :)
i really like look of it, sure i dont want to make my Avantime look like it, but i like the amount of effort that has been put in to make some thing that looks interesting.
i really like the clear brake light housings.. i presume that he must have had a mould made of these, or has he painted them?
Geraint - I must say after looking at it asgain you are right about the alloys and the windows but the paintwork looks great. I am sure that if they have got red bulbs in for the rear lights then it should be fine.
If the rear lights are illegal then surely the v8 vantage Aston Martin would have illegal rear lights because the new revamped version in this weeks auto express has clear lenses.
Have to agree with Muhnkee though with the amount of effort that has gone into it.
After searching i think this a lot better what i have come across
my understanding is that it doesnt matter what colour your rear light clusters are - just what colour the light bulbs are... so as long as the brakes and indicators illuminate in the right colour, you are fine...
